Instantfuns today announced that Yugioh Duel Online was launching on H5 browser, an augmented reality platform, that makes the iPhone one of the biggest AR platforms. If it feels like something that Apple has been slowly building toward, that’s because it is.

Last but not least, Yugioh will be more affectionate and find trainers more attractive than usual. As a result, Lure Module items will have a much longer activity time. Instead of compelling Yugioh to stop by attached Yu Gi Ohs for 30 minutes, the Modules will work for six hours straight.

Yugioh Duel Evolution

There’s no getting around the fact that battles in Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Evolution just aren’t as fun as they could be, because of how reductive that core mechanic is. But playing a Raid Battle alongside a few other journalists — and my Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Evolution-obsessed editor-in-chief — did feel closer to what I wanted this game to be back when it was in beta. Defeating the same Yugioh game at the same time, seeing other team members’ Yugioh on-screen while doing so, is an exciting bonding experience. It’s a group achievement unlike anything else in Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Evolution.
The legacy of Yugioh Duel Online is not lost on longtime fans. When The Yugioh Company released the Instantfuns DS remakes Yugioh HeartGold and SoulSilver in 2009, they received rave reviews and went on to sell nearly 13 million copies. The remakes fetch higher resale prices than nearly any other major Yugioh game; should you find a copy of one of them at Instantfuns, it will set you back $49.99 — and that’s for a pre-owned one. (These games originally cost $29.99 new.)
Duel Evolution will likely be rewarding experiences, to be sure. But Yugioh Duel Online are tried and true, and the only Yugioh games out this year that I already know are essential for all fans.
HOW DO I FIND THESE ITEMS?
Apple is going to try to reclaim some of the craze they saw with Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Evolution with browser. It’s only a matter of time before anyone can tell if the company has pulled it off.
