[趨勢] Gartner Identifies the Top 10 Strategic Technologies for 2011
Gartner發表2011年最具影響力的十大策略性科技，
這十大科技在未來三年將主導IT發展，對企業營運具極大的影響。
1. Cloud Computing 雲端運算
Vendors will offer packaged private cloud implementations that deliver the vendor's public cloud service technologies (software and/or hardware) and methodologies (i.e., best practices to build and run the service) in a form that can be implemented inside the consumer's enterprise.
未來三年雲端的趨勢將不會著重在公有雲或私有雲這兩個極端，
而是往兩者之間的平衡點發展。
這恰好呼應最近的一則新聞，
Dell與其他供應商結盟，提供隨即可用的雲端運算解決方案，
可同時處理客戶內部使用以及透過雲端服務將服務傳到客戶終端。

2. Mobile Applications and Media Tablets 行動應用與媒體平板裝置
Gartner estimates that by the end of 2010, 1.2 billion people will carry handsets capable of rich, mobile commerce providing an ideal environment for the convergence of mobility and the Web.
未來持有智慧型行動裝置的人口會越來越多，
包括smart phone、平板電腦等，
如何將服務讓使用者能隨時隨地取得將是企業的關鍵課題。
3. Social Communications and Collaboration 社交傳播與協同
Social networking, Social collaboration, Social publishing, Social feedback.
社群網路這個議題已經炒作很多年了，
隨著facebook的成長，代表這個領域已經邁向成熟階段，
從最近的新聞：Facebook佔網頁瀏覽1/4強 Google的下一隱憂?
Google已經開始擔心facebook的影響力，
主要是大家停留在facebook的時間遠大於在Google的時間，
相對的，這其中潛在的商業模式就可以有較大的發揮空間。
4. Video 視訊
Over the next three years Gartner believes that video will become a commonplace content type and interaction model for most users, and by 2013, more than 25 percent of the content that workers see in a day will be dominated by pictures, video or audio.
未來3年，視訊對多數使用者而言將成為一種普遍的內容類型與互動型式，
而且到2013年，企業員工每天將接觸超過25%以上的圖片、視訊或語音為主的訊息。
5. Next Generation Analytics 下一代分析
It is becoming possible to run simulations or models to predict the future outcome, rather than to simply provide backward looking data about past interactions, and to do these predictions in real-time to support each individual business action.
商業智慧對於企業經營日益重要，
透過模擬的方法或模型進行即時預測，
如果再結合行動應用，可讓企業能及時反應市場，
更能掌握住商機。
6. Social Analytics 社群分析
Social analytics describes the process of measuring, analyzing and interpreting the results of interactions and associations among people, topics and ideas.
7. Context-Aware Computing 情境感知運算
A contextually aware system anticipates the user's needs and proactively serves up the most appropriate and customized content, product or service. Gartner predicts that by 2013, one-third of worldwide mobile consumer marketing will be context-awareness-based.
情境知覺感知系統可預測使用者的需求，並主動提供最適合與最客製化的內容、產品，或服務。
8. Storage Class Memory 存取記憶體
Gartner sees huge use of flash memory in consumer devices, entertainment equipment and other embedded IT systems.
未來記憶體的價格會越來越便宜，
而儲存的空間則會越來越大。
9. Ubiquitous Computing 普適運算
It gives us important guidance on what to expect with proliferating personal devices, the effect of consumerization on IT decisions, and the necessary capabilities that will be driven by the pressure of rapid inflation in the number of computers for each person.
簡單來說，就是物聯網的應用。
情境知覺感知系統可預測使用者的需求，
並主動提供最適合與最客製化的內容、產品，或服務。
雖然可以預見未來物聯網將有龐大的商機，
不過目前物聯網的商業模式還不成熟，
且還有安全性及海量資料處理的議題待解決。
10. Fabric-Based Infrastructure and Computers 基於結構的基礎設施與電腦
A fabric-based computer is a modular form of computing where a system can be aggregated from separate building-block modules connected over a fabric or switched backplane.
其中很重要的是，軟體需要去對衍生的系統進行配置和管理。
